Have you ever tried to communicate with someone you're dating about how HE is feeling? It's not usually too easy to pry feelings from the depths of a man's mind, underneath all the football, baseball, cars and "man things" that take up the space in there. The thing is - if you are at the point in your relationship where you are wondering what your boyfriend is thinking and feeling about you and your relationship right now... then it might already be TOO LATE.
What I mean is - if you don't know what he feels about you, that is a huge indicator that you two do not have the kind of open-book communication that it takes to have a healthy and secure relationship. You certainly want to avoid going down that road again, don't you? From my own experiences, I know that is a horrible feeling to have.
But its not all about just feeling horrible, either. You could lose your man if the communication does not correct itself between you. Your boyfriend may already be thinking about LEAVING and you won't even know it.
I hear you asking me -- what can I possibly do to correct this? Well it just so happens that I have a few simple steps you can take to begin making your relationship communication right again.
First of all - you need to quit trying to wrap your mind around what HE is thinking or feeling. If you want to get your relationship or dating life on the right track - you need to start with YOU. You are in complete control of how you think, react and act - so start by focusing on what YOU need to do to focus on your own ideas and communicate your own feelings.
Secondly - you need to think and act in a positive fashion. If you react negatively to him by becoming clingy or whiney when you think something is wrong, you are only going to drive the stake deeper into the heart of the vampire if you know what I mean. If you expect the worst - you will get the worst.
Dating tip number three - listen to him UNDERNEATH the words. Trust your intuition, and really think beyond what he is saying. If you have questions about your relationship, you need not voice them and make him uncomfortable - look at all the signs. Keep your questions tumbling about in your head and look for your own answers.
Fourth - you need to learn to INTERPRET your intuition. Say you have a bad feeling that your boyfriend is up to something. He acts strange and secretive. You might interpret his behavior and your intuition to say he is cheating on you. But maybe it will turn out he is throwing you a surprise party or drumming up a nice romantic get-away.
In this situation, it is your insecurities that cloud the face of your intuition. Learn to separate your insecurities and feelings from what your intuition is telling you. In other words, learn to let the situation speaks for itself in a neutral and nonjudgmental tone. These things will help your communication in your relationship become clearer and much more effective. If you need more dating advice and relationship tips click below.
