Wedding photo albums haven't changed much over the years but gradually some newer types are coming into the system. Almost all albums for instance will place the bride in the place of honor at the front of the album, just as it did in her mother's time. Most weddings take place in beautiful places where there is always a special spot for the photographer to take some pictures of the bride and groom together after the service.
Next of the photos you will find in a modern wedding photo album will be one with the wedding party dressed in their finery. Many close friends and family go to make up this special group without whom the day would be incomplete like the best man, the father of the bride and bridesmaids for instance. Etiquette then dictates that the bride has some images of her and all the bridesmaids that attend her on the big day.
Images of the bride and groom with their respective relatives will follow in the album. Wedding photo albums are generally large bound examples that contain pictures that are bigger than usual on pages that may be inlaid or embossed. Wedding photo albums will normally be in white with traditional decoration in the form of wedding bells and horseshoes; usually embossed to enhance the appearance further.
Tradition states that these wedding albums use gold or silver (especially the text) with the photos laid out inside shaped 'masks' for added effect. Almost all wedding photographers will also provide a service so that all the photos can be burnt onto a computer disc for permanent storage and display on a Television or computer monitor. Many hundreds of images can now be stored on a cd rom which makes it simple to carry around and display on a TV screen with little chance of damage.
If guests want to have a copy, they can have all the images and not just their favorite few; these can be stored in presentation boxes for later viewing as a digital wedding photo album. This also means that guests have the opportunity to print off images they like whenever they wish and still keep a reminder of the day that can be seen at home on the TV if they wish. Modern technology has improved upon the albums from long ago with the addition of pictures available on the latest 'digital photo frames'.
