The cool change has definitely hit and it does have me a little worried as it seems to have hit a little earlier and a little chillier than it normally would on the Gold Coast.
The cool change signals the start of slow cooker season. I did cook a few slow cooker dishes over Summer, however the flies absolutely swarmed on the windows and through the doors as soon as they were opened at the smell of the the food cooking from it, making it not such a great idea.
Once a week, normally a Tuesday as that is the start of my outside of the house work week I will plan a slow cooker meal. It gives me a nice start into the rushed meal times that occur when we are home late. Below is a list of our family favourite slow cooker meals, I hope that they become your families favourites as well.
